Like many of our clients, the Scott’s kitchen was dated and they were ready to make the space their own.
They knew that they wanted the kitchen to be white and allow more natural light into the space so this lead to relocating a larger window over the sink and centring it in the new layout. Additionally, two windows were installed on the corner of the kitchen to allow for a full view of the outside pool and the Bruce Trail.
The Scott’s are nature lovers so they were keen to bring some natural elements into the house with the live edge walnut waterfall counter top. And instead of installing a traditional bench under the windows, we took the opportunity to showcase a unique piece and build a live edge walnut bar top in the corner. Now the perfect view for Brett’s morning coffee.
When it came to addressing layout, we redesigned the room to accommodate a young family on a daily basis and large groups on special occasions.
With the exception of displaying some wine glasses and sentimental items, closed storage was a priority. For this, they selected a simple shaker style door with a small bevel on the inside profile.
The counter top is Quartz’ Blanco Drift, a low maintenance and durable selection. The back splash tile is Blanco Crackle with a feature behind the stove of the four, twelve-by-twelve Hydraulic Series.
This kitchen is another example of our start-to-finish design and installation services including the fireplace we built in the dining room.
